The Dypyoga system consists of many different yoga series that together form a varied yoga practice. In combination, they address all body systems, maximasing your health benefits from your practice.
We have classes for all levels and our goal is that you should experience and see results from your practice!
Emphasises precision, details and alignment. Regular practice will develop strength, mobility and stability.
In the class we use props such as belts, chairs, blocks, ropes and infrared heat to enable the students to perform the asanas correctly, minimising the risk of injury and strain as well as making the postures accessible to both young and old.
This class ensure that students progress gradually by moving from simple poses to more complex ones.The students develop their mind, body and spirit trough a step by step approach.
Ask your teacher at an Open level class if you are ready to attend. And you should have at least 6 months of practice from open level classes before attending Dyp Advanced.
This is the original classical series that is developed by Naema Noor. A fixed system in an infrared heated room, the series contains standing and seated poses as well as inversions, (up-down positions). The poses can be recognised from Bikram, Ashtanga and Iyengar - yoga. The exercises detox through sweat as in Bikram, holds the dynamics of Ashtanga and is technically challenging as Iyengar. Dyp Advanced has its own rhythm and timing that the teacher carefully supervises. The instructions are precise and demanding, but not to be mistaken for both the intermediate and the experienced yoga practitioner.
By performing D.Y.P. you achieve many health benefits regardless of age and physical form. You become strong in the body, flexible in the joints and you get rid of both physical and mental tension. It lowers stress level, provides a strong immune system, a body and mind in balance, and boosts energy and creativity!
In colder climates like Norway Hot yoga mimics the climate of India where yoga originated. At Dypyoga we have a customade infrared heating system made for Dypyoga! The infrared heat waves are absorbed by the body, which causes it to increase blood circulation, boosting immune functionality, detox and reducing joint stiffness.
This class is intense, hot and a really good workout. Dyp Hot balances the interaction between strength, balance and flexibility. The rhythm and sequence of Hot is easily accessible to everybody, at the same time physically demanding. The focus of the instructions is on correct technical execution. Although the instructions are general, you will also receive individual instructions along the way.
The class is performed in 40 degrees with high humidity. One has to bring a towel, a drinking bottle and a yoga-mat to the class. Welcome to a hard, fun workout!
This class reduces stress and helps sore muscles and ligaments at the same time. The infrared heat helps students heal from illness and increases flexibility.
Dyp Restorative starts off with pranayama, (breathing techniques) Viloma I, & II. The students stay in various postures between 5-10 minutes, that gently increase blood circulation and releases tension. Props used in this class are kurunta (wall-ropes), blocks, belts, bolsters and blankets. The class has a calming effect on the nervous system that will improve sleep quality and charge your batteries. It ends with a deep guided Yoganidra & meditation.
Research studies show that restorative yoga also helps in weight reduction. Interestingly it is the reduction of stress that makes a significant change in the ability to reduce weight.
